FALL IS IN THE AIR!
Just thought it was time for an update on the goings-on around HunnyBuns. As many of you know I have been hard at work developing my new line of air dry paints called Art & Magic WaterBorne © Paints. They are proving to be very successful and for that I am grateful. The range is continuing to expand and I'm still tweaking the actual paint formulas to ensure better adhesion to vinyl (after all, vinyl is a petroleum based product and water-based paints do not like to stick!) and better working properties. So many of us are used to the Genesis painting system which allows a lot of working time.
Air dry paints that I've worked with in the past dry too quickly for me. I like to take my time putting on multiple layers and not feel rushed. So I'm working on extending the wet time of the paint as it's applied.
I'm almost finished editing my newest Art & Magic of Reborning © book, which will feature the WaterBorne paints and my latest kit, "Isaac". Look for an availability date of late November, Early December.
Speaking of "Isaac", this new 21" kit has been very popular so far. I'm also happy to report that my last kit, Preemie sized "Kiki" won the 2013 Colliii Award for Best Preemie Kit!
I have to thank Linda Moore of Dolls2Babies for her fabulous job bringing the Kiki prototype to life! Honestly, I think maybe Colliii should consider a dual award in the future for sculptors/reborn artists who collaborate in a winning entry.
Other things I'm working on right now include LOTS of BubbleBee Soapworks new soaps and a line of lotions, body butter and possibly more bath items such as shower gel and bubble bath or bath oil. I'm under contract for a new full torso baby which is a new endeavor for me and I'm enjoying the process very much. More news on that at a later date, most likely in 2014.
All in all, I have a lot to be thankful for and hope you do too.
