40G Rooting Needle with 6 Barbs

A great fine-gauge rooting or felting needle.  It has 6 barbs so it can pick up as much hair as you want it to.  If you want to do ultra-micro rooting, simply use only the end barbs and work through just a few strands of hair as you root.  This is the one I use most for rooted eyelashes on my dolls.

Using these needles, you want to be careful not to bend or flex them, as they break more easily than rooting needles with fewer barbs.  However, they leave a smaller hole, and if you are careful not to "grab" too much hair as you root, you can do a fine job of micro-rooting with this needle.  It works well with my mushroom handled rooting tool.

ALWAYS clean the needle with rubbing alcohol before using!!  The factory coats them with oil to prevent rust.  It's best to leave the factory oil on to protect your needles until just before you use them.
